2nd Annual UNSW Computational Design Conference 2018

The 2018 Bachelors cohort is the second student group to have finished a Bachelor's degree in Computational Design from start to finish. The work of the students demonstrates that UNSW's CoDe students can play an active role in being at the forefront of industry practice. Topics in this year's conference range from VR and AR explorations, robotic fabrication, optimisation and decision support to machine learning and sensor-driven design. The exact nature of the research topics are direct interests and concerns from the industry collaborators.

Professor Ning Gu

Quantifying the Subjective: Computation and Cognition in Design

Dr Ning Gu is Professor in Architecture and Deputy Director of the Digital Transformations Research Concentration at the University of South Australia. He researches in the broad areas of Design Computing and Cognition, including topics such as computational thinking and creativity, design collaboration, BIM adoption, and virtual design studios.
